More openness for everyday family life
The homeowners wanted to upgrade their existing cabinetry with a modern style and rethink how the kitchen worked for the family. The original arrangement felt constrained, so the renovation focused on creating more function and breathing room.
The approximately 650-square-foot kitchen now opens toward the living room, creating an easy connection between cooking, dining and family time.

The opening extended into the living room, the stair railings were replaced, and recessed fixtures were upgraded to LED lighting. Together, those changes made the first floor feel brighter and more continuous.
